Chrono24
How can Chrono24 scale trust without authenticating every watch itself?
One trust standard can support two certification architectures
Chrono24 does not need to authenticate every watch itself to make certification part of the marketplace trust layer. Its Certified program uses one platform-defined authenticity standard but two organizational routes. In Partner Certified, a verified watchmaker working with or for an approved dealer certifies the watch before shipment. In Chrono24 Certified, the Seller sends an eligible watch to a certification center where verified watchmakers perform the same standardized checks. The result is a modular trust architecture: Chrono24 keeps the rules, certificate, guarantee and marketplace governance while specialist watchmaking expertise can sit in different parts of the ecosystem.
Structured data behind the canvas
One fixed table for every PBMC. Transaction remains one field; all transaction arrows and their explanations stay inside that field, so cases remain directly comparable.
| Perspective | Field | Value | Explanation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Core Value Unit | Core Value Unit | Watch Listing | The Watch Listing is the Core Value Unit: a specific watch offer with price, condition, images and provenance information that a Buyer can discover and evaluate. Certified status can strengthen a listing, but certification is not required for every listing and is therefore not part of the CVU definition itself. |
