How did Holidu grow from comparing vacation rentals to helping hosts run them?
Holidu started by comparing listings. Now it also helps hosts manage and sell them.
Holidu began as a search service because the same vacation home could appear on several websites with different prices and availability. It still brings together millions of offers from thousands of booking partners, which helps travelers compare a fragmented market. But Holidu now also works directly with hosts. Hosts can use Holidu to manage calendars, pricing, guest messages, payments and distribution across more than 25 booking channels. This means Holidu is no longer only showing supply created elsewhere. It also helps hosts create, manage and distribute the supply that travelers eventually book. The case shows how an aggregator can move deeper into the transaction when it starts solving the operational problems behind the listings it compares.
