But classified or prohibited confidential information is different because other participants cannot legitimately compete for it. Polymarket therefore faces a platform-governance problem inside the information advantage itself: preserve legitimate informational competition while filtering prohibited access. The market can benefit from participants knowing different things, but trust breaks down when an advantage comes from information that other participants could never lawfully obtain."
