"text": "Spotify's new AI Persona rule separates two kinds of platform power that are often treated as the same thing. An artist profile can remain available in the catalog while losing access to editorial and algorithmic recommendation by default. That means the Provider has not been removed from the platform, but its passive reach can fall sharply. With more than 100 million tracks available, the critical gate may therefore be less about whether supply can enter and more about whether the Owner chooses to distribute that supply through discovery. The platform lesson is that recommendation governance can become as consequential as access governance when attention is scarcer than content."
