Taskrabbit
What happens when Taskrabbit is built into the store checkout?
Taskrabbit can get work from retailers before customers visit the marketplace
Taskrabbit normally works like a local services marketplace: a customer needs help, chooses a Tasker and books the job through Taskrabbit. Retail partnerships add another route into the same marketplace. A customer buying furniture or another product can also book assembly, mounting or installation at the point of purchase. Taskrabbit then turns that retail purchase into a job for a suitable Tasker. IKEA is the clearest example, and Taskrabbit has expanded the same model to other retailers and manufacturers. This matters because Taskrabbit does not have to wait for every customer to open its app and search for help. Retailers can bring ready-made demand into the network at exactly the moment a service is needed. Taskers gain another source of jobs, while retailers can add services without building their own local workforce.
