UrbanSitter
What changes when an employer helps pay for care?
UrbanSitter can turn a care marketplace into an employee benefit
UrbanSitter helps families find and book local caregivers, but the marketplace can also be offered through an employer. A company can give employees access to UrbanSitter and, depending on the benefit, add Care Credits that help pay for bookings. The employer does not hire the caregiver or run a daycare. It helps bring funded demand into an existing marketplace. Families can therefore arrive because they searched for care themselves or because their workplace gives them access and a subsidy. The marketplace still depends on trusted, available caregivers, which is why profiles, reviews, annual background checks and local availability remain important.
